The plastic shower hose broke off. Tried two shower heads, they all don't fit.
Typical shower head using 1/2 connector size.
I think this GV is using 1 inch connector size :o
It seems to be unnecessary to use such big hose for a mote home.
Where can I buy one?
Get a pvc bushing 1" to 1/2"
Just came back from Home Depot. The gentleman can't find any pvc adapter from 1 inch female to 1/2 mail
Needs other option.
I don't think the setup you have is stock. I have a different floor plan so the shower configuration might be different but all of my stuff is standard home plumbing. I have a shallow tub with a tub spout. The shower hose attaches to a 1/2" nipple on the bottom of the spout. A pull knob directs it to the hose.
If you can get access to the backside see what's going on there. You might be able to change it back to 1/2" (assuming it was that way originally).
Please note that each Foretravel can be quite unique with each typically special ordered from the factory; not to mention what prior owners may have changed on it over the past 29 years.
Still needs help!
I am unable to find a threaded female 1" to 1/2" male adapter.
Anyone with similar year grand villa, can you check your shower hose?
What year is your GV ?
I removed the original lift up tap for the shower and left the hot/ cold control then ran the shower hose with a few couplings direct. If that makes any sense?
1991
Do you have any picture by any chance?
Thanks for your help
Sorry but I'm computer challenged, still can't post a picture,
If I am seeing what I think I am seeing the part in your picture is cut or broken off of the whole piece. If this is the case either go back to Home Depot or go online and do a search for:
Internet #204836713Model # PVC021121800HDStore SKU #796841
This will thread into a 1" Female and allow you to thread a male 1/2" into it.
I gave you a link in reply #3
What crane man is showing you is a way around your problem, use the reducer then put a 1/2 pipe nipple in there and attach the shower hose.
PS. what year is your GV ?
Then I see 91, just old and in the way !
Hey there Craneman,
I followed the link from response #3...just curious.. and it lead to this on Amazon page:
Charlotte Pipe 4" Male Adapter Pipe Fitting - (Male Pipe Thread x Socket) Schedule 40 PVC Pressure Durable, Easy to Install, High Tensile and Sound Deadening for Home or Industrial Use
by Charlotte Pipe
jiaxinxi said he had been to Home depot so I was just trying to narrow down the search parameters.
Your post didn't have a link so I didn't search it. Sounds like the same thing will work. My link is no longer showing the adaptor now. Can't trust the internet keep something. Just realized if it sold it would not show up.
Went to another Home Depot. Still can't find 1 inch threaded female to 1/2 threaded male.
Attached is the picture of the pipe, do you think I can replace it?
The picture you just posted will help. I have been looking for an adaptor for your white piece you posted first.
This is what you need don't know if you can wait to have it delivered.

Thanks, this is very close to what I need, but the female side is not threaded
I think I need a 1 inch threaded female to 1/2 inch threaded male adapter.
I went with an extra long hose so that I could mount the shower above my head. Hanging at face level didn't work for me .
Back to the drawing board.
Just called PPLmotohome (https://www.pplmotorhomes.com/)in houston, they claim they have the largest RV parts in stock, but they can't find anything for this particular shower head.
At the back of the part it has PAT. 3913605.

Figured it out he is just missing the spigot with shower diverter. Sent him a pic of mine and he now understands.
Sure enough. With the additional pictures it all makes sense now.
Got out to the coach today. Now everyone can see what Stump sent. As you can see hose has been stretched a little. When I replace it going to get a couple of 1/2" 90 degree poly street els and get the hose pointing up. Don't use PVC. Threads bind up. Get the poly ones in the lawn sprinkler section, they swivel. There black. They work great on sprinkler heads near sidewalks that constantly get broken off.
"One picture is better than a thousand words" fits this post. All that searching trying to match up something in the first picture was way off base.
I feel like too embarrassed to come back to reply this thread. I have no idea that a Diverter Spout was installed there. I thought it is just as simple as a shower hose. I was so wrong. As
@craneman said "One picture is better than a thousand words" After seeing
@stump picture, everything make sense. It is so easy.
Don't let lack of knowledge lead to embarrassment. It's easy for some of us who have the exact same bathroom to easily diagnose the problem but if you had never seen one before how would you know? It doesn't hurt that I was an owner of an Ace Hardware store for 15 years and know this to be a Moen shower valve set up.
Please post up a picture of your kitchen sink faucet, may have a surprise for you there as well.
On my first trip to Quartzite I was lamenting that the steering wheel was way to low and I was going to replace the the steering column with something taller. The guys took me back to the coach and one of them ( Andy 2 ? ) walked up to the front of the rig, turned the horn ring counterclockwise and my FULLY HEIGHT ADJUSTABLE STEERING COLUMN, promptly and magically jumped up a good 10 inches. Now that's embarrassing!
Thank you for your kind word.
The people on this forum truly makes the Foretravel coach ownership experience amazing.
What could be the surprise of the kitchen sink faucet?
Currently the main faucet is working fine. The spray is not working. The water filter (RO filter) is not working.
Will see if I can get a good picture.
I;m banking on the fact that since the shower valve is a Moen, in our model the kitchen faucet is the same as mine. If so your faucet can do this to fill large pots, etc.
This seems to be the only shower thread I can find. We are not happy with our shower head and want to replace the old brass colored one with something new. I'm not familiar with the shower attachment, but I'm looking at this:

Does it look like I'm looking at the right stuff?
We got a really nice Moen commercial model at Ferguson Plumbing.
Something like this Moen Eco-Performance Single Function Hand Shower in Brushed Nickel -... (https://www.ferguson.com/product/moen-eco-performance-single-function-hand-shower-in-brushed-nickel-m3865epbn/_/R-4199592)
That definitely looks better quality that the RV models. Have you seen any with an on/off valve or one that can be put inline?
Lowe's $26
We kept the original valve (pull on, turn for temp) but put in a new cartridge. We could have put in a constant flow, temperatire balanced valve body (turn counterclockwise on/cold/ warmer).
New hose, single point bracket, softer rain like shower head and lower flow rate.
We use something similar to this on our shower wand in the coach.
