We were hooked up to shore power and had a thunder storm and rain over night a couple nights ago when we woke up in the morning we had no power. Went to investigate and the door over the power real enclosure had been left open and had gotten wet. The pole we plugged into check good and we tried another one that also checked good and had a camper hooked to it the day before, with no luck. Any tips? I was going to try it with my outlet at the house and see if maybe it just needed an opportunity to dry out, but is there a breaker somewhere that would need reset?
Thanks
Try drying compartment with a fan and let us know what year and model coach so we know what you have, hard to help if we don't know what youv'e got.
2003 U320. It happened in Okalhoma City the day we were supposed to leave so I ran 14 hrs straight to get home the compartment should be dry at this point. Do the transfer switches have a reset like a ground fault?
Check the breakers on the side of the inverter.
Is your power reel in the wet bay?
Yes, the power real is in the compartment that got rained on. The reals for water and power work fine. I felt around the box on the side of the power real trying to see if there was a breaker somewhere on it, there is nothing where I can see.
Just pulled in my shop plugged it in and we got power! Just needed to dry out. dumb leaving the door up rookie mistake not to double check that the door was down and latched.
