Title: Polishing the wood interior.
Post by: nitehawk on August 15, 2020, 06:15:43 pm
Just got done putting a coat of Zep Wood Doctor (I know, I know. There are other products. Just bear with me) after about three years of not applying anything due to med circumstances. The DW found a full unused can downstairs.
Now done. Amazing how the steel framework shows up when the wood dries out!. I crawled all over making sure I reached everything (except behind the jacknife couch) and even the backside of the closet and bathroom doors.
Sure looks pretty--make that prettier!
While doing it I was reminded about one winter we spent in Zepata, TX. A friend came over and wanted to know what we used on our woodwork. She ordered a case from Zep. They only sold in 12 can lots.
Another snowbird bought a can to apply on their wood grained wallpaper on the particle board in their Newmar Mountainair.
I didn't have the heart to tell them it might not give them the results they were anticipating.
How did I know it was particle board? Because I did some repairs for the couple, on their bed night stand.

Just took tree rat #43 to that big Game Farm in the country.
The tree rats don't seem so populous around here anymore, for some reason.
Haven't caught any for the last five days. Either they are getting smarter or all I got so far were the dumb ones.
Guess 43 since mid May until now, with three weeks when I didn't put out the trap, isn't bad.
NOW we have one of those "racing cats" digging up our front yard "Racing cats"(skunks) can sure make a mess. I would rather they just move on and not have to find one in my trap. It can get smellier than a unclean dump station used by first time RVers.
