Our Audit system does not work on our 1995 U300.
We bought a wired camera system on Amazon with a 9" monitor.
Bob hooked up a camera on each side of the coach and they work great.
We have not hooked Up the new rear camera yet.
I was wondering if we can use the existing wire that comes from to old camera in the back to hook up the new camera.
That would be easier than trying to run a new wire.
We plan to change the audit system to a sea land tank monitoring system that I read about here on the forum.
Has anyone used the existing wire to change cameras, and if so do you have any tips for doing so?
Thanks, Susan
If you can't find an adaptor you need to solder the matching plug on the camera end.
Yes, very likely you will need an adapter, then use the existing cabling.
Electronics store should have one.
I soldered it but plug and play if you have the adapter. Radio Shack made it a quick trip downtown but with them TU, just order off the internet. I posted it but many years ago.

Wish I had known about the 75.00 surround cameras before I had A 1500.00 rig installed 2 years ago at MOT 2 years ago.. Guess that is called slow tax.
But I do know Clyde did a cleaner job than I could have so I'm not displeased with my choice..
I did this a few weeks ago. The cable from the rear camera to the audit computer in the front is a coaxial cable. It has BNC ends on both sides. Typically modern monitors take RCA style connectors.
It's a simple adapter on each end - BNC to RCA - and you can simply use the existing cable. Make sure to get the right gender connectors for your application.
Our color monitor and excellent camera cost about $50 12 years ago. Still working fine today. Used existing wiring but soldered the rear as RS was closed on Saturdays.
