Title: Magnum MS2812 Help
Post by: amos.harrison on September 17, 2020, 09:56:31 pm
My inverter system has started acting strangely.  If I disconnect from shore power, the voltage readout on the ME-RC remote quickly drops to the 11.5 range.  If I have the generator on auto start, it starts.  Meanwhile, the batteries are all showing fully charged at 12.8v.    Any ideas?  I've checked all the connections through the ME-BMK and everything looks fine and tight.  This all started after 6 days of boondocking.

What device shows them fully charged?

Brett,

Seems like I recall some other member having problems with ME-RC remote.  I believe they finally solved it by unplugging and plugging back in the communication cable at both ends.  The cable looks like a telephone cable.  When you disconnect the cable (either end), wait 5-10 seconds before you plug it back in.  Kinda like doing a "reboot" on a computer.  You might try it...see if it helps.

Yes the bill gates fix,  I asked him in 83 how to fix a windows machine in person one day,

Turn it off then back on is what he said.  10 million lines of code and something seems scrambled.  Reset.

Unplugging the communications cables didn't work, but completely disconnecting and reconnecting the house batteries successfully reset the system and all is well.
