I am having a problem with shore power being allowed into the coach by my surge protector. Sometimes it happens right away with a click in the mobile surge protector and a couple of other times it happens after 6 or more hours. Surge protector showed all was well with the the pedestal power, also independently checked the pedestal, no issues, also tried multiple pedestals. Shore power will get into the coach by plugging directly to the pedestal and the transfer switch thunks over in 15 to 30 seconds and reads out on the power line monitor. Replaced the surge protector thinking it was the issue but it did the same thing , no power to the coach (no reading at all on the power line monitor) and a click at about 2 minutes at the protector. Again switched back to direct connection with the pedestal power and restored power to the coach. Any ideas as to where I should go next?

One possibility: Help - NO shore power into coach (https://www.foreforums.com/index.php?topic=39509.msg389225#msg389225)
Let me see if I understand your problem.
You have a progressive portable RV surge protector or another one like it.
You thought the surge protector was bad and you bought a new one but have the same problem.
You plug the coach into the pedestal directly and you will have power in the coach
When you checked the pedestal did you have 240V between the outside blades, 120V between 1 side blade and bottom blade, (both sides) and you had 120V between the 1 side blade and the ground (round hole) checking both side blades?
When you plugged in the surge nothing comes up on the display, but you hear a click after 2 minutes but nothing happened?
Question - Are all of your problems at the same pedestal?
The ones I have when you first plug them in the display will show L1 voltage, then 0 amps, L2 voltage, 0 amps, 60 hz, and then what the error message is (I think E0 but not sure) then will start all over again. After 2 or 3 minutes you will hear the contact click in. Then after a little while the coach transfer switch will click and then coach will have power.
That's exactly how mine works also.
I have had the same outcome at five different power pedestals. I always got an EO error code, meaning everything ok.
Thank you Dan, I will read that post. I did an initial search on the forum under transfer switch and read 4 of the 30 entries but apparently not far enough.
