Title: All the coach electrical went dead
Post by: dans96u295ft on September 27, 2020, 07:56:01 pm
Leaving after a week of camping, all went well and after flushing the tanks, I started the Cummins and went back to check on everything for travel one more time and all electrical was dead, Worked fine when flushing. To make a long story short, my last trip out or into the coach, my foot must have bumped the Salesman cutoff as it was off! I was so glad that's all it was, I smiled all the way home! Watch that cutoff! I may make a cover for it as I never use it anyway

Your not alone. Done it more than once.

I just used some PVC and adhesive (Shoe Goo, what else!) and stuck it to the floor.
I have added a simple PVC cover that just lifts off. It is also available where one buys PVC parts.

Pulled the recliner to clean the carpet a month or two ago and after putting it back, wondered why the ACs didn't work. They need 12V too. Either hit it with the carpet shampoo machine or kicked it.  Took about 30 minutes before I found it and then got out the leather straps.

I pushed mine through the floor when I tiled. Still there.

Dan, I cannot count the number of times my customers would call me saying they were here or there......sometimes two years after buying.....start yelling at me, sometimes cussing, that they now had no 12V in the rv.  I'd say great, this we can solve.  Nine out of 10 times it was the "salesman switch".  I'd get a laugh, an apology, and I was happy I could help.  The lesson here for me is, when something fails, check the easy stuff first.
