Anyone changed the two florescent bulbs to led in the outside porch light? One of mine burned out so it would be a good time. 12 inch f8 t5 bulbs.
Thanks
Got 2 12 inch LED strips, installing this week.
Yes, I replaced mine with two strips as well. Of course you can use one, two or three strips depending on the amount of light desired , can get standard density or high density strips and warm white or bright white.....all depending on your preference.
Changed ours years ago to strips. Replaced the clear entrance handle and now the LEDs are on low all the time unless I turn on the switch. I was going to fix it but I sort of like looking out the window and seeing a glow at the coach. LEDs must last forever as they have been on for years now.
Pierce
FT Parts sells a LED porch light that is a direct replacement.
Got my 2 strips at Gander for about $15.
I had a couple of rolls of LEDs left over so just snipped and glued them in place. Also changed the entry grab handle as ours had cracks and the chrome had pits. I installed it several years ago and it has a blue LED in the top chrome piece. I had to sand on the ends of the clear part to get to fit exactly but it looks OEM now. Cheaper then but still not bad at $65 delivered: BLUE LED 12 volt Lighted RV Entry Grab Curved Handle Chrome ends assist... One strip cut in half

Also converted the outside handrail to a led puck light during the same conversion. Others have also used different color leds for the handle. Mine are 3000k. Boring

Ja, I did as Pierce did. It was several years ago, but as I recall the worst part of the job was not being able to face the work. The ladder just wouldn't work that way, so I was standing along side the coach, working on the light to my left. Much fun with trifocals!
I just did mine with two strip lights. I found the when I did the ones inside, they were much brighter than I expected, so I used just one strip. On the porch light, I used two strips that separate connectors, so I could plug in both or just one. Right now I have one on and it seems to be enough. I can always plug in the other if I change my mind. Something to keep in mind is that a really bright porch light might make you pretty unpopular with a coach next to you, especially if you forget to turn it off before bed time.
