Title: Start battery disconnected--BUT?
Post by: nitehawk on October 08, 2020, 09:59:25 am
I disconnected the start battery by taking the negative (-) cable off the battery.
Now the dash monitor reads 6.7, 6.5, 6.7, 6.6, etc.
So where is the voltage coming from?
Except for the cig plug-in digital readout (reads just like above) with two USB charge ports everything else engine/chassis is "dead".
Also, the 30A plug-in to the house is disconnected.
If I turn the salesman switch to "OFF' then everything is dead.
Strange.
Also, if 30A is connected, salesman switch is in "OFF" position but start battery is connected, then everything in the coach still works.
WEIRD!!

Yes, and I would add check boost relay - another path for cross-feed between house and chassis.

Any 12V work done recently by you or someone else?

Do you have a Trik-L-Start installed?

No Trik-L-Start,
Some idiot (correction--Slightly above average idiot--me) ha been the only one trying to eliminate the gremlins in the electrical systems.
Right now trying to get ready for winter so hunting for the gremlin will have to wait until I get the coach back from storage  (without any batteries or electrical hookup) in the spring.
