Title: Dixson Speedometer/Odometer
Post by: len.barron on October 16, 2020, 05:32:46 pm
My speedometer works great, odometer completely died. I haven't been able to find anyone who services these Dixson 580-S2 units. Anyone had any luck with this?

I'll message you and cover any cost to ship. How many miles are indicated on it?

With the GPS replacements, can you program in your existing odometer mileage?

Yes.  This can be done.  I had mine done by Front Page - Lauderdale Speedometer & Compass (https://www.lspeedo.com/)  Mailed it in with affidavit on mileage and got it back within a week.

After too much time messing around with this I did the same as Mike did and installed a GPS speedometer. I was concerned it wouldn't match well with the other gauges, but, it's much better than I had thought it would be. I paid the extra $15 to have my existing miles programmed in. Instructions are pretty good, though, you don't need to do much with the GPS sender, the default (16000 pulses per mile) worked perfect and matched my phone based gps speedo exactly.
