OK. Thanks for help with electrical. Now that we're on the road again, it's " always something' !"
This morning, while raising our night MCD shade, the shade fell out of the left side bracket. I was able to reinsert it, but it is " dead"....won't move !!???
It is in an up position, AND, as fate would have it, we are on our way to visit family in MCD Kinney Tx!!!
Any ideas on how to fix it...we are in W. Virginia for a week camping.
Thanks
Are you talking about the windshield shade or do you have electric shades on the other windows?
Sorry
Meant to say windshield
When the shade fell, did the motor keep running?
If so, it may have run all the way to it's "upper limit".
Try rolling it all the way up, reinserting it, and then lower it. Does it lower at all?
The left side contains the shade motor with all the wires. Take the shade down and try to find the wire junction that separated. If a wire pulled out of the motor that is inside the shade you'll have to buy a new motor from MCD or have them install it for you since you're going to McKinney.
Several of my MCD shades, non motorized, are misbehaving. I have taken them down, tried adjusting them, but still not happy with it. The main one is the door shade. I have to roll it up and stick it in the big sun screen thing...
Won't help you, sorry. My MCD windshield screen is motorized and works great.
I've come to hate MCD. 50% of the ones I bought have failed. There are others out there of which I will buy in Quartzsite.
Sounds like deep pockets time
Well twig I'll be interested in seeing what you're buying there. Yeah I don't think these shades are that old but several are misbehaving. Also mine are just a nightshades and I would prefer to have day night.
Day/nights 179 innstalled where you park. I got 1 last year.
