Title: Looking for a p/n for electric lock on basement door
Post by: hdff on October 19, 2020, 10:50:20 pm
I've got aN Electric lock mechanism on a basement door that's not working.  Does anyone have a part number and source for the electric lock mechanism for the basement doors on a 2003 U320?

I don't know the part number but I had one not working and took it apart and fixed it, so I know they can be fixable.

I converted my entry and comp doors to electric on our 97, and used these. They work fine. I bought a couple of extra's.

Cheap as chips on Ebay also.

Keith, the one you show is not available any longer.  I had a couple fail in the way John H says, plastic gears ate themselves.

FT has a kit that includes a mounting plate, wiring and hardware,  I bought several and have been replacing them as they fail.  Check at FT or with Mark Crick with the MC Club.  He has their trailer full of parts, you can get a discount with MC membership, the proceeds help the club and shipping might be cheaper.
