Title: 2009 Nimbus Walk Through
Post by: voilesv on November 02, 2020, 09:22:12 am
Good Morning, I was wondering if there was anyone in the Houston area that could come over and give me a walk through, show me how systems are suppose to work, share secrets, go over things like HWH, inverter, level system, etc.- the kind of walk through a new buyer would receive from dealer upon purchase? My mom owns a 2009 Nimbus that had the hybrid inverter system, but was changed out several years back to newer system found in newer coaches. Seems like every-time we take it out, we have some alarm or some issue we're unable to understand. Mom's husband passed away in May after a couple years with dementia, he was the one who had the experience with the coach. I need help now with a walk down of coach, someone to show me all the bells and whistles and how they are suppose to work properly. Thanks.

Hi I don't have a nimbus but a 2003 U320 that has some of the same systems, hwh level system and slides, aquahot, and an inverter etc. if someone with a nimbus doesn't volunteer I would be more than happy to show you what I know. Granted I'm still learning as I've only had mine 3 years. I think I met you and your mom at last years GrandVention and looked at the brown coach behind you. I don't live far. If your interested let me know.

I lived in Garden Oaks in NW Houston till recently. Now live in Waller Tx.
I purchased a 2006 Nimbus in September. Went camping in it one time In San Antonio. I have it in my shop learning the systems and installing an Air Force one brake controller in the Motor Home and in my 2001 Jeep Wrangler Sport.
I have learned a lot and learning more every day. Maybe we can get together and I will show you what I learned.
Are you Mechanically Inclined. Just acquired Safety blocks and wheel chocks so I can safely get under the thing and install the braking system. There is quite a bit to learn about these things. I spend the last two days looking at the underside and reading Manuals.
I have done all my Auto Maintained since I was a teen. Grew up working of a farm fixing old tractors and trucks until I decided I was interested in electronics and studied to become an Engineer. Worked in the food processing equipment industry and Seismic Exploration equipment industry for most of my Career. Retired now and want to continue RVing soon. We have always camped and RVing have seen parts of Most States in the US.
