Title: Roof question
Post by: Lt403 on November 12, 2020, 03:56:16 pm
Is there an extra layer of material placed on the roof where you get on and off the ladder to protect the roof or is this some type of access point?

Frank,

That was some useless non skid.  Over time it gets dark and can overheat the area under it causing that area to delaminate. If it were me I would take it off.

Thanks
I see a square outline on my roof but I think it was covered when they put some type of roof covering at Foretravel.
Thanks

Frank,

When I scraped the non-skid off my coach it left a square outline that is slightly different from the rest of the roof.

Took my no skid at the ladder off several years ago. Found a good bit of heat checking, light sanding couple of coats of white flex seal all is good.

I took my skid pad off when I re-gelcoated my roof and I had thought I would replace it but reading this post I will leave it.

I plan on marine grade anti skid paint on the roof
