50 deg outside. How long should the aqua hot run before cycling off with no load other than warming up itself. Mine ran what seemed over fifteen minutes and I shut it down to find out. Water at sink at 109deg
Thanks Scott
I usually run ours every few weeks whether we are using it or not. Generally takes about 15 minutes to cycle off.
Thank you
So I started it back up and it shut off in seven more minutes. Thank you Lynn
From 50 degrees to about 180 it will take 20 minutes or so. Once it is heated up the normal cycle time is less. Mine will get to about 115 degrees or so at the hot water manifold. Maybe a bit less downstream.
Pretty easy and helpful to add temp sensors at the AH and at the manifold.
I agree with Roger about the temp sensors. If you do lots of dry camping it's nice to know at a glance if you have enough hot water to take a shower or turn on the heater, etc. It does help to minimize the run time on your diesel aquahot.
Roger in a previous post you shared photos of digital temperature gauges that you added as part of your hot water recirc pump. Can you elaborate on exactly where you installed the sensors for these gauges? Do you know if it's possible to add a temperature gauge to read the temperature of the anti freeze in the Aquahot?
