Title: Replace Leveling Computer on 94 U280
Post by: Tom and Jo on November 25, 2020, 12:43:29 pm
We need to replace our leveling system computer on our 94 Grandvilla U280.
We have it ordered but need to locate it on our rig.
I looked on this forum and couldn't find any reference to where it's located.
And my manuals don't show it either.

In the first bay behind the left front wheel next to the generator cover about in the middle of the forward bulkhead.

What Twig said (above).  It is in a aluminum box, about 10" square, bolted to the wall.  Removable cover.

Tom,

You might want to have the old one refurbished by HWH and have it as a backup rather than trashing it.

We received the replacement. It is located in the joey bed area on the forward wall.
Do we need to have the motorhome level when we replace it?
I know the mercury leveler is under the couch. We didn't mess with it.
But I wasn't sure if it was critical to have the motorhome level when we change it out.

No you don't have to have it level to replace the computer.

Thanks everyone, got it switched out. The hardest part we putting the little screws in the new cover. They used the little clips that the screw goes into. I tapped them in place but the holes didn't line up. I ended up using the old screws. They were bigger and worked just fine. Again Thanks
