Worked 2 weeks ago. Started the FT at it's 2 week interval. Air chime came on as it should, Aired up to 110 and level. Air alarm chime went off at 70 psi as normal. Went to use the HWH air leveling panel and it is dead. No lights, nothing.
Please advise where to start. It did get to drive height but since the panel is dead, no green travel light. It goes into gear and will move. Everything else seems fine. I assume I've lost power to it.
Thanks
Check salesman switch for on position.
Carefully remove (and don't lose) the screws and pull the panel out. Make sure the plugs are plugged in. Sometimes you need to spray the plug and pins with some electronics contact cleaner. A little but goes a long way. Time, dust, moisture can all inhibit things.
Thanks. Ronnie from FT called me and said the same thing. Start at the panel connections and go towards the breakers from there. I'll check tomorrow and report back
Mine does that once and a while, the connection comes loose on the back of the touch pad. If not that check the fuses in the control board down in the bay. The power comes in from the red and yellow wires one hot all the time the other hot with key on. I suspect it the connection at the touch pad.
Think there is a way to cable-tie fasten the connector on the back of the dash HWH panel to reduce the chance for it to come loose.
Everyone speaks of the "salesman switch" Where and what is it? Does my 89 GV have one?
OK, so I let my fingers do the walking, and dug back in the Forum , and then took my left ear in my right hand and my right ear in in my left hand and pulled my head out of my butt when I read what it is and why it was called that. I was certainly trying to make it harder than it really was. Thanks again to all for everything so far, and hopefully in the future!!!!!
Yep. lifted up the dash and the modular phone cord with the holder let loose sitting in the shop? I don't get it but will fix when it quits snowing !!! We need the moisture!
Everyone needs some of these
Amazon.com: DDP New 2pc Fishing Set 12" + 24" Straight Hemostat Forceps... (https://amazon.com/DDP-Fishing-Straight-Hemostat-Stainless/dp/B07WVCZ6GS/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=24"+straight+hemostat&qid=1607814490&s=industrial&sr=1-4)
I have 8", 12" and 18" ones. Indispensable when you need one. Some straight, some curved.
PERFECT!!
Ok, reached down and plugged back in. The keeper tit is broken allowing it to come loose. The entire plug came out, not just the flat cord. All good now!
Thanks and Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!!!
My favorite repair item - blue painter's tape - fixed this exact problem for me. I finally got tired of lifting the dash and plugging it back in, after 5 years! LOL
Thanks. I'll do it
