Title: No water pressure. Updated
Post by: Lt403 on December 14, 2020, 12:24:18 pm
Lost water pressure ( water pump) and I am looking for the relay. Light at the switch is lit when turned on. Inline fuse at the pump is good
Looked in front of passenger  seat for the relay but did not see it there. Looked behind kitchen drawers and bathroom vanity too.
Thanks for the help

It is in the basement behind the fiberglass cover. This panel is mounted on the wall of the big bay on the drivers side.

Mike
The big bay on the drivers side has "w/p fill valve".
Is that it?
It goes to the white relay.
One relay for The water pump and one relay for the fill valve?

Frank,

1. Yes that breaker should be for both. If you look at the other side of that breaker there is a little button that may be popped out. If it is push it back in.  All of those breakers are manual reset so look for the little button. I bet this is your problem rather than the relay.

2. Should be, that is how several coaches that i have worked on are set up.

3. This is a FYI:  If you look at those relays they are the same relay that some generators have in there control panel.  If you look at the numbers they should be the same as what Glenn has in his thread about his generator trouble.  Thus is the reason I carry a spare as it fits 3 places on our coach.  Next time you have the generator out you might give it a look and see.

If those are the breakers then I still have not found the relays

Those 2 white things in the 2nd pic are your latching relays. They are what makes multiple switches work.

Ok
I followed those wires to a Bosch relay and replaced it. Still no pump.
I will continue on this tomorrow by checking the pump.
Thanks for the help

Did you check the breaker to see if it had power on the outgoing side?
You could have a bad ground where the pump is tied to the framework.

I had a bad ground wire where the pump ground wire when to ground. I lengthened the ground wire and fastened it to the compartment light switch. Problem solved.

So, supply your pump with 12V with a jumper wire or use a test light to see if the hot wire is really hot. If the pump does not work, check the ground wire. If it still does not work, the pump is faulty.

The latching relays latch and release when the ground wire is momentarily connected to ground using any of the momentary wther pump switches.  When it it latched power goes to the pump and to the indicator lights.  Most of these have a button on the top to cycle the relay.

Ended up replacing the water pump. I was fortunate enough to have one that came with the coach.

Can the old one be fixed or is it a disposable item?
Are there any parts that I need to cannibalize

I'd contact the mfg as individual parts like the diagram are available individually.
