Changed my transmission fluid yesterday. I switched to Transynd about three years back so this is the second synthetic change. That gives me the Allison defined 100%. Anyhow, I got the fluid and filters from Pacific Power (thanks dsd for the 5% coupon). I was surprised to see that the Transynd arrived in a 5 gallon container rather than the expected one gallon jugs. If you buy from Pacific, you might advise them that you want the smaller containers.

The 5 gallon pails is less expensive per gallon than buying individual gallons.
Set the pail up on a ladder or roof and set up a siphon from there to the transmission fill tube. With the Allison 3000 you should have remove 2 quarts or so from the pail and use that to top off after checking fluid level. 19 quarts is a common change volume.
And, the pail is a lot easier to put the used fluid in for recycling.
Odd They shipped to me in gallons. Glad to hear the discount code works. Wish we had a dedicated link to available discount codes. I also ordered the service placard and put on the dip stick tube to identify fluid type.

I just used one of those cheapo drill motor pumps. Worked great. Price was the same. Took just a hair less than 5 gallons. Last time is was right on 19 quarts. Going by the transmission pad. It reads: A-ok, good job, thanks.
I use one of those 6 gallon containers you can get at O'Reilly's or Tractor Supply ($35). oil drain pan (https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/b/flotool-3939/tools---equipment-16488/mechanics-tools-16816/oil---lube-tools-16607/drip---drain-pans-17327/1901b3722e0b/hopkins-flotool-oil-drain-pan/42004/4379863/2010/subaru/forester?q=oil+drain+container&pos=2)
