I should know the answer to this, but I don't
While you are off grid, if the diesel switch is "off", and the electric switch is "on", am I draining the batteries?
The situation here, at our RV park, is that my exhaust is right at the door of my neighbor. She complains about the diesel smell, and I think my AH, which I service and clean regularly, is burning correctly. I am trying to be considerate, but we are trying to run off our, limited, 360 w solar that previous owner installed, in order to save some $$$$. Am I using too much battery doing this?
Inquiring minds want to know
Electric in Awuahot is shore power or generator, not inventor So no drain on batteries Glenn
One alternative is either buy or fabricate an exhaust chimney like the gen-turi so the diesel side can help out in high demand situations or you are off the grid and only have the diesel side. The fumes escape at roof level.
