Title: Onan 6.5 Marquis Slide Rails
Post by: pthurman48 on February 09, 2021, 02:42:44 pm
During the repair of my Onan 6.5Kw Marquis generator, I want to replace the slides that lets the generator slide in and out of the bay.  I have the original slide rails which I think came from Onan.  I have contacted Onan/Cummins for help.  They gave me none.  These slides are bolted on the bottom through the bottom of the bay.  The generator is air cooled and the bay is open on the bottom.
I need help getting some slide rails(HD drawer slides) to support 350 lbs. that will extend 18"-22".  The slide rails will be 38" apart.

Thanks in Advance,
Pat,

Any welding, fabrication shop will be happy to help you rebuild. Then have it powder coated in color of your choice. Some where I have the number on the rollers. Will hunt for it.  Try search also.

Yes I have asked ForeTravel.  They told me it came with the genset.  part # MECBPFT2  I called Cummins/Onan they told me part number was not found.  They could only offer looking in catalog.  That was no help, nothing close.

Pat,

This might work:
http://www.etrailer.com/dept-pg-RV_Cargo_Slides-co-400_lbs.aspx

Or if you can use the old brackets and figure out how to mount them to these: YENUO Heavy Duty Drawer Slides 22 Inch with Lock, Full Extension Ball... (http://www.amazon.com/YENUO-Extension-Bearing-Capacity-inch%EF%BC%88450mm%EF%BC%89/dp/B08LQBWZSX/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=drawer%2Bslide%2B22%22%2Bfull%2Bextension%2B500%2Blbs.%2Block&qid=1612924514&s=hi&sr=1-1-spons&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExVDMzOFdZUVhTUlI3JmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwOTUyOTM3MlNONENUWEtEUVZXNCZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwOTcwMjIzMVhIQjhXNzhFUzNUMSZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU&th=1)

Hey John, Thanks a lot for the links.  I have already been looking at the eTrailer kwikee #LC370794.  That slide will only extend 16", that would help but not worth $408.  The slides I now have use a 3/8" bolt on each rail to lock in place.  The kwikee #LC370794 only has one lock on one rail and it is very light.  I called lipperts(kwikee mfg.) support line and got no where.
Who else makes these HD slides?

Wonder if a joey bed slide from a salvage yard would do if you cut it down and re-located the locks.
