Mine both work fine. I watched the video at the soft start site. At $300 a pop are these really worth the effort and money? I have the original conditioners with heat strips
I have one in my 5th wheel and will be putting one in the front unit on my coach. If you need to run an AC off a small generator (think EU2200i) or your battery bank or a 20amp garage outlet, they're the bees knees. If you don't need to do any of that, I'm not sure why you would need one.
The effort to install is low. Maybe an hour of work. I have the Micro Air Easy Start
Here is the update I posted when I installed soft starts on my coach.
I hope this helps.

My soft start update,
I have been running both A/C with the soft starts installed on 30 amps for the last 4 hours and the 30 amp breaker hasn't tripped. Last night I had one A/C, water heater on I turned the microwave on for 10 minutes and tripped the 30 amp breaker. I am running both A/C's, refrigerator, and 43 inch TV. I am impressed. The A/C's have cycled on and off several times during this test. I have not noticed if both have tried to start at the same time.
The temperature is only 83 degrees outside so I don't know what will happen in higher temps, and no I am not wanting to find out till I have too. I am enjoying the cooler temps.
Just my two cents
Ron
