Hi,
Has anyone ever installed these lights to replace the stock headlights on a 98 U320?
I intend to install these lights with a good brand of led bulbs in them. Would they be better???

I had put LED bulbs in the old lights and they made a huge difference for me but they were hard on the oncoming traffic. Those
being proper LED headlights they should work great.
I didn't use those exact lights but, some that were just as bright. They were still too low for comfortable night driving. I you are only looking for cosmetic improvement they would be fine. Search for some of the DIY headlight mods on the forum they have come a long way. Had I not already had the Xtreme conversion I would have copied one of them.
I am trying to get around the 3 grand cost of a Extreme mod or the like. The light frames I am looking at do not come with bulbs, but the reflector in them looks to distribute light much better.
The mods on the site here also involve a lot of fiberglass modifications and cutting which I can not do myself.
This one looks good and is under $1,000 should be easy to copy.

Try and get units called "projector". They are made by several companies. They have a lens in front of the bulb that looks like a condenser lens in a slide projector. The beam is much more controlled and will not dazzle other drivers. In some states they are required if you use HID bulbs.
