Post by: fouroureye on March 20, 2021, 09:56:47 am
Still have the u280... May sell it !

Found a 2000 GV u320, 75K miles, looks good clean, everything works, AC has recessed supply vents pointing to the front (how does that work)
MN #G00562440CAI G320 E29, AUG 1999 - Was this one of the 1st ones,buying from 2nd owner. Orginal owner FMCA #45681

Other than aquahot and bulkheads I think I can check it out.
Anything else?
CAT450hp engine, what to check?
Kept inside, great decals
Slide ? Seals bags..
Air bags replaced 2 years ago, tires 2 yrs old
TV behind Navagtor seat

How many house batteries? 3?
3 red tops for engine

Checking engine hrs Vs miles, gen hrs

Thanks as always for your wisdom !

Very much doubt that has a Caterpillar engine. Certainly not OE.

More likely the Cummins M engine.

John,

Was gonna comment on the "unusual" engine, but Brett beat me to it.

The 2000 GV320 is basically a 2000 U320 with a different front cap and mid-entry door.  Pretty much anything you can read on our Forum pertaining to the 2000 model U320 will also apply to the GV320.

Perhaps Propman (Al & Tauna) will see this and chime in.  They have a 2003 GV295 and may have some words of wisdom.

If this is the same coach that is in the classified section looks like a M-11 to me.

Brett, Chuck and Mike thanks for your input.

Mice, will look at that and pop the bay central channel cover.

Where can I find the # of batteries?  Can't get the beamalarm replacement to work.

That could be anything from a wire eaten by a rodent, EMP lighting strike, low coolant, or??.
May be $ or $$$$$.

I agree with mike I would check coolant level and make sure the coolant level monster was plugged in.
The water damage may be from leaks in the holes where the pins hold the slide in.  I think Joe(Juicesqueezer) had some of the same problems with his slide. hopefully he will chime in!

How about dead start battery?

That could be one of the possibilities.  If the voltage is too low the ECM will go nuts even shutting down the engine.  If you have the boost on and the generator is running it should be able to supply enough energy to keep up with system load.  (if the boost solenoid is working properly)
