Yesterday I installed the fuel cooler and today we pulled the fuel tank now come the hard work.
Not fun! Generator is a real PITA.
Actually I didn't find the generator to be that big of a pain in the butt or the aqua hot although I did have a kink in my generator line so be careful of that. The hardest part I found was removing the covers for the hose in line and wire races that run down the center of the coach in The bays pulling the lines through that was a nasty dirty job. Also getting those back on proved to be extremely difficult for me. But I did it and I did it myself so it's definitely doable.
Just finished mine recently. Gen and Aquahot was the hardest part for me.Dirty job all around putting cover back on large bay was real pain. Glad I won't be around in 20 to do it again
Got 3 lines pulled today and would have pulled the last one to the generator but I screwed up on the hose length. I put a connector
between the old and the new line and pull the old one out and the new one in. I thought the generator was going to be a horrible
job but it just pull though and the other one is moving so should be easy. The Aqua-hot lines were replaced last year so
they are good.
Pouring with rain this morning so only worked this afternoon. Got all the lines done at the rear.
What fuel line did you use
When you have your tank out Great time to reseal the fuel tank drain hole in the lower floor to stop and water getting between the lower floor structure. Also installed membrane tape to corners to seal up tight.

Got the tank back in today and started up the Cummins. Pulled the last generator line in and will hook them up tomorrow. Needed
to pull a wire from from the cab to the Allison computer so I pulled 4 wires to that bay. Also I pulled a string though to the rear
just incase I ever need to pull a wire to the rear.
There are extra wires already in place by Foretravel that ho front to engine . Different gauges as well.
Johnh
Thanks John I know of the wires from the front to the back but none to the middle and as I needed one to the Allison computer it
was just as easy to pull extra wires.
Bruce the fuel lines are Continental
I used to buy rolls of Continental fuel hose. The kind with all the little ribs on the outside. It was great stuff and never cracked, etc.
Pierce
Well I got the generator finished and it started right up and started the Aqua-hot it started right up both fuel pumps worked great.
Where did you buy the continental hose from? I'm having a lot of trouble sourcing parker HTFL
I went to a local hose and fitting place near me called Newline and that was the fuel hose that they sell. I'm on the west coast in
Canada
Thanks. I might try the same strategy. I'd really like to find the HTFL though.
What do HTLf mean

HTFL is the name of a Parker brand fuel line. "High Temperature Fuel Line". Compatible with the existing fittings so you can reuse them.
When I lived in corpus Christi which is surrounded by trucks for the oil industry I couldn't find the right hose in the quantities that I needed. Oh I could get it if I bought a whole box but I didn't need a whole box. So I went with marine grade Trident hose. I'm sure it will work for the next 20 years. I got it from a Marine store at a good price. And most of my fittings worked. I did have to buy some at a local hose store.remember 90% of the fuel lines in the coach are protected in races or behind spaces. There's only a little bit that is exposed to the elements going up to the generator and coming out of the rear race and going into the engine compartment. I felt the marine grade hose was more than sufficient and if I was really concerned about it I would put something around it to protect it further. Anyway that's what I did.
