Has anyone on the forum installed the new Sony XAV-AX8000 with the fixed screen in their coach and how do you like it? Going to pull the plug Friday morning on one, since my 2nd flip up has given up the ghost! A 9 inch screen should work well with viewing!
Sony XAV-AX8000 8.95" Bluetooth Media Receiver with SiriusXM Satellite Radio Kit, Steering Wheel Interface
Thanks in advance!
I haven't but if time permits, please document and post your installation and final results. I am interested in replacing the original 99 U320 camera and monitor.
Joe. if you would drop by on your way to Yellowstone we could take care if that issue lol!!

Thanks Chris, wish we could, but that is a little out of our way just now! lol Our back up camera is great, just lost the screen on the flip up radio we had in here originally and now the second one after the first gave up the ghost! Started doing some checking and found that the flip ones are subject to breaking at the worst times. Once you get use to using the back up, when you don't have it, not good!
Walt, you might check with Tim at RV Cams: Backup Camera Systems (All) (http://www.RVcams.com), I think that is his website. We have the camera, just used a china flip up screen for the picture, which is now caput!
Haven't done it but that looks like a great option. Please report on how it works.
Don't know of any aftermarket backup cameras and monitors that are not Chinese. See RVcams Voyager as advertised on Amazon as an example: Amazon.com: Voyager WVOS541 four Camera Enabled Digital Wireless Observation... We got the new radio installed, sorry, no internet to upload photos, maybe later! It is the Sony 8000 head radio with sirius, apple and android friendly, and a almost 9 inch viewing screen for back up camera. It can be reversed as well, so you are looking at what you are actually seeing. Easy touch screen with auto phone for hands free as well. Not cheap, but it works and hopefully lasts as long as we have the coach.
Here is a photo of the head unit. Have not secured the wires yet, but works well with the backup camera and can be reversed if need be. It also has Sirius and we missed that in our coach! You can also hook your phone up to it and have GPS if you wish, but it will only do one thing at a time, so we still use the Garmin 780, so we have the backup camera working all the time and still play whatever music you like to hear!
