Dumped the black tank today and after closing the valve, the red light remained lit. Several tank flushes and dumps, opening and closing the valve, the light remains on. I can hear the motor moving the gate open and closed and the drain has no leaks when closed, so its definitely a false reading. Can something be stuck in the sensor or drain that might account for that?
Definitely want to add a third mechanical safety at some point (and maybe even replace the blank tank electronic valve at the same time. ) But I would like to resolve this in the meantime.
Suggestions?
Joe,
I don't have a red light on my valve. I suspect and after market mod by a previous owner. A picture might help.

Its the switch itself with the red light. Gray has been replaces with a mechanical valve so switch no longer used. The black tank is still opened and closed electronically.
Here a picture:
Joe,
IIRC on that coach if you remove the vanity panel in the service bay you will find a micro switch that is located on the valve. Most likely it has failed or is out of adjustment.
