Hi All,
Rear slide key on, flashing yellow light for 2+ minutes and does not glow steady. I can hear the air seal deflating.
Air compressor comes on after about 10 secs and seems to work normally. Turn key off and then repeat cycle. After multiple attempts it will work. Doesn't seem to make a difference if it is in or out. So far I haven't been stuck but I am afraid that my luck will run out.
The front slide works normally.
Still waiting for a call back from HWH. It's only been 11 days.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
If you are a motorcade member you can also call FOT for assistance.
I waited about 5 or 6 weeks before HWH called me back.
It sounds like everything is working correctly except for the yellow light to go solid. When you have the key on have you gone outside and checked to see if the seal is deflated?
I am pretty sure in your coach the yellow light flashes until a certain level of vacuum is achieved. Then it turn solid and the retract or extend function is enabled. The vacuum generator uses compressed air so there needs to be sufficient compressed air. If you retry it there may not be enough for a short while. The compressor fills the HWH tank and that air is used for the vacuum generator. If you have a leak in the air/vacuum line to the bladder or the bladder is leaking you will likely not achieve a vacuum. And finally your coach needs to be close to level and the parking brake must be engaged.
While you wait for HWH you might want to call Foretravel. My experience with HWH has been positive, usually I can get an appointment before a call back. They are on I80 about 40 miles west if the Mississippi River
