With Foretravel not having power yesterday (and maybe again today???) I was having trouble getting a part number - wonder if someone on here could help me track down a link to order one online?
Trying to order the valve under the brake pedal on our 36' 2000 U320 - it's leaking and I'm told it's better replaced rather than rebuilt. We happen to have our generator out at the moment for repair making access straightforward.
Thank you, Tim
P.S. The Foretravel Facebook group has also been helping out on this, but a link to the actual valve online would be a tremendous help.
That is a common treadle valve in the trucking industry. Was the coach stored for a while before the leak started? I have had one of my cranes leak after storage and after using it the leak would stop. If it started leaking while in service then replacement or repair is necessary. After seeing your link replacement only, repair too much labor for the money saved.
Looks like I posted the wrong link above (removed it). I went into the local truck parts store and they said it's on back order for at least several weeks (he had trouble finding it)
It's been leaking off and on but getting worse and now it just leaks till the tanks are empty (takes about an hour)
If the coach build number is 4754 or later (at least through 2003 model year)
N-30072-GC 1 EA VALVE, BRAKE (TREADLE) 4754
N30072GC looks to be the OEM part number
Further research shows it is superceded by N30072HC.
Double-check the pedal angle, but it looks like you want RKN22521 as the full assembly.
Am I hearing you correctly that I need to replace the entire foot pedal assembly as well? Just making sure I understand
- Thanks, Tim
