Any tips, tricks, hints, advice for getting the fuel filters off, I'm fighting them and losing. I've got the 93 GV 8.3
I use a belt strap wrench
Yes, not the HF strap wrenches. Any of these will remove fuel, oil and spin-on air dryers: Amazon.com: GEARWRENCH 3/8" & 1/2" Drive Heavy-Duty Oil Filter Strap Wrench,... (https://www.amazon.com/GEARWRENCH-3529D-Heavy-Filter-Wrench/dp/B00B2LV4DS)
The spin-on for the air dryer is 6 inches in diameter so what ever you buy, has to be the same or larger.
Pierce
Get the biggest channel lock they make.
If filter is already butchered up then like john44 said channel locks is about all that will do it. After all else failed that's what we used for 40 years on trucks.

When putting on new filters get as tight as you can by hand then finish with no more than 1/4 turn with filter wrench, let engine idle and watch for leak. That holds true for oil fuel or water.
Once I know that I can remove the filter(s) because I was able to turn them just a little bit, I punch a hole in the bottom of each filter and let it drain out. Just so I can stay kind of clean.
