Title: Lighting behind window valences
Post by: Peter on May 20, 2021, 10:58:06 pm
I JUST found out there are lighting strips behind the valances in the living area and bedroom on my 98 U320.  It looks like they are original.  Does anyone know where the switch is. It is definitely not one of the switches in front of the passenger seating. Help me solve a cool mystery!!

Peter I believe it is the switch right of the pump switch. Mine have been removed by the previous owner when he redid
the valences. The ones in the bed room work.

Thanks!  Found it and the ones on the passenger side work as well as the drivers seat but the ones over the drivers side couch and the  ones in bedroom do not...perhaps a different switch for the bedroom?

The switch in the bed room valance is under the side cupboard on the passengers side.

We have those under valence lights too, more than 1/2 of the micro bulbs are burned out.  They are under the counter top edges and under the cabinets as well.  I am slowly replacing them with dimmable LED strip lighting.  Much brighter if you want, with a dimmer much better. And the LEDs use less power than the OEM lights. :-X

The valence lights in the bedroom I would change to led strip lighting too if I thought I would ever use them.

I done did the change to LED light strips under the valances three years ago. Real nice lighting for watching TV or just more subdued lighting.
Living room area--both sides of the coach.
Over the Harvest eating table.
Both sides of the bedroom.
Ceiling lites in the bathroom.
Hallway lights between bedroom and kitchen area.
Changed the lite over the kitchen sink to LED light strips.
Porch light is all LED strips.
Engine compartment equipped with LED lighting.
All clearance lites are LEDs.
Installed LED running lites.
Added LED taillights above the regular taillights (which also are all LED bulbs)
Been busy. Never gave thought to how much I have changed in our 1989 GV.
