You were able to retract the side this morning?

Slide retracted fine.  Motorhome is a 2003 U295.

In another thread I believe someone else had the same type of problem.  There problem turned out that the cable to the pad had become unplugged.  I would try get to the back of the pad and see if you can unplug and replug in the cable to it.

I do not know much about that unit but I think since you had power to operate the slide the unit for leveling should have power also.

I remember reading that also.  I pulled the pad and plug was secure. Unplugged and reconnected it and the pad still does not illuminate.

If you release the parking brake does the touch pad go into travel mode?

The HWH I had in my 97 had a control board that had a number of fuses on it.  You might check those. I have no idea where it is located in your coach.

Have you tried shutting off and turning on the salesman switch.

Everything else seems to be working OK.?

I had a problem going int neutral.  Here is how i fixed it on my 1995 U320.

After undoing all the screws I could access the rear of the pad.  It's held in with two clamps.  Undo them and disconnect the cable.  Take the box apart (it's obvious how to do this).  Clean the contacts, the black rubbery things with a cloth.  Clean the contacts on the circuit board by LIGHTLY rubbing them with either 1000 grit emery cloth or any slightly abrasive medium.  I washed everything except the printed circuit board.  Came up like new.
You can see the LED that lights up the board.  Reconnect the plug and turn on the ignition and see if it lights.  If not try cleaning the plug and board contacts with contact cleaner.  If still not OK call HWH to see if a replacement is available.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the replies. The parking brake had no effect on the pad illumination. I ran some diagnostic checks with the assistance of an HWH Technician. Fuses all have 12 volts. There are two lights (L19& L20) that should be illuminates when the ignition switch is on and they are not illuminated. HWH Tech says that the touch pad is not communicating with the mother board circuits.
I was able to over ride it with a little override switch on the side of the canisters that contain the boards. Two other indicator lights on the circuit board indicated that the system defaulted to travel mode so I was able to engage the trans and start driving home.

Still not sure what is causing the problems between the touch pad and circuit board.

Last resort will be to  remove all circuit board canisters and the touch pad, and ship them to HWS for diagnostic testing.

My bladder wouldn't inflate and complete retract cycle. Turns out my auxiliary compressor was not working. It tripped breaker. Reset, it ran, inflated bladder and off we went

Turns out that the HWH Touch Pad shorted out and blew F5 fuse in the main control box 3rd can.  Obtained the HWH drawings for the HWH  2000 series Leveling system.  Ronnie at Foretravel as well as HWH Techs provided valuable support and technical assistance.  Replaced the touch pad and fuse.  Learned a lot about the system during the process.

Thanks for everyone's response when we were out on the road two weeks ago!
