I think I'll replace my original fuel solenoid just because. I've got it off anyhow after having broke the two bracket bolts (ouch!). I've reviewed a few posts and see on Amazon and eBay that prices are all over the place. OEM for $300, LarryB for $100 and a bunch of other knockoffs for like 40 bucks. How about a recommendation. Thanks.

i have just ordered from amazon a fuel shut off solenoid for
5.9 and 8.3 cummins with 2.5 inch bolt spacing.
kison auto parts sa-4026-12,3919422 $64.99
my order is from amazon canada and in canadian funds.
I believe it is coming from china. probably taking a chance,
but it worked out well for my lift pump a while ago.
good luck
I can show you the part number I purchased (7 years ago) but have no idea what the price would be today. I have had zero problems with it since I installed it, so I was very happy with my choice.
Good Price for Fuel Shutoff Solenoid? (https://www.foreforums.com/index.php?topic=21607) (Reply #6)
That's a surprise. Mine is 3". Figured all these old 8.3s would be the same.

See if there is a part number on the solenoid. I know there are different solenoids.
I replace 2 on a 8.3 Cummins and the ones I got came from Mexico. If they go they
don't leave you stranded as it can just be tied.
We bought Cummins upgraded larger fuel shut off solenoid which came with new bracket. Lots of ways to get Cummins shop prices at Cummins parts desk.
It's the number noted in my original post. This is the OEM number. My bracket is the same. That's the bracket I am not removing as I fear that third, hard to get at bolt may shear as the other two have.
Not sure what his means, Barry?
I'll probably just get the one for a hundred bucks as several other members have. Thanks.

Ended up ordering a LarryB's. Would have been nice to find an OEM for the price Chuck found but no luck. That must have been a guy that found some new old stock and jumped on it. Anyhow, I'll install the LarryB and keep mine for a spare.
