Title: Intellitec
Post by: erniee on June 28, 2021, 08:39:40 pm
Those of us that have these modules, have you had an issues with them?
I have one, and one of the switches control the bathroom fixtures. When it works, it works as designed.
When it doesn't, it has a mind of its own. Are there any of the mini relays that may be causing this and are they replaceable?
My last dozen coaches just had switches- not the relays.

M&M RV Electronic Repair|About Us|Our Services (https://www.mmrvelectronics.com/about_us)

Ohio City, Ohio

They reprogrammed a couple of my switches to work  correctly after they just stopped responding.  Your problem may of course be hardware but I suggest you give them a call.

Can you provide a picture of the main controller and a switch keypad? I have updated the programming of our Intellitec multiplex keypads when buttons have gone flakey. Yours may be a version earlier than our system though.

I have updated the programming of our Intellitec multiplex keypads when buttons have gone flakey.

What do you use to do that?  One of my buttons has stopped working but it's one I hardly use so no big deal but I'm curious.  When M&M fixed others they said the code is proprietary.  Of course that's a great excuse to charge more.

I bought a USB to TTL converter on Amazon: Amazon.com: HiLetgo 5pcs USB to Serial USB to TTL CH340 Module with STC... (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LZV1G6K)

You connect the 4 wires from the USB TTL to the 4 pins on the keypad. +12v, -12v, Tx, Rx. I can look for a picture later.

You use the software on your Windows laptop for your specific keypad from: Multiplex Systems (http://www.mikerobotics.com/Intellitec/Multiplex.htm)
The software will want the USB to be connected to COM1 so that may have to be remapped (Device Manager | Ports | Properties | Port Settings | Advanced... | COM Port Number)

Once you have this setup. You can connect to each keypad to export and save on your PC the current programming. I also ended up creating a spreadsheet to document the mapping of each of my controlled devices to the relays and separately a mapping for each keypad to device. This keypad to device mapping is what is used to enter into the programming software either starting from a downloaded keypad config file or starting from scratch. It's good to have a backup of each keypad. For some reason every few months we have a random keypad that loses the programming on a button or 2. I don't know if its related to a surge or occasional disconnecting of the house batteries for other maintenance.

If you need to do this, I would be happy to talk you through it and send you my spreadsheet file. Send me a PM

Way above my pay grade for all this programming spreadsheet, et al.

I am not sure but think that the 2004 coaches use a different system than the earlier 42 ft coach.
