What is this toggle switch on the dash? Not labeled.

Doesn't look original equipment, added by a previous owner. Time to hunt.
Reply #16 in this post (https://www.foreforums.com/index.php?topic=19204.msg137888#msg137888) shows the same toggle switch.
Yes I agree with Roger that is not original factory equipment. On my dash in that place is the switch for injecting ether into the engine for cold starts. Since that's not the case for you you're going to have to get creative in finding out what it does. Tracing the wires will do that I recommend a wire tracer from Amazon. I think I got the fluke one. It's not easy but it's better than manually trying to trace the wires which is pretty much impossible. Of course it will help that whatever that switch Powers is working. If you know who the previous owner was that would be the first place to go. Of course if your coach has had numerous previous owners, then good luck with that. I'm the fifth owner of my coach and I only know the one that I bought it from. The one previous to that, Paul at Smith, I believe has passed away. I tried really hard to find and get connection with him when I first bought the coach but no bueno.
In the end I wouldn't fret about it too much. Look for anything aftermarket such as a roof antenna, extra lights, etc.
that looks suspiciously like the toggle switch I had on my 55 chevy
that activated sex lights under the dash.
I am not sure how you found that Dan .. wow. You must have automatic recall LOL. But that does look like the same switch doesn't it? Perhaps he has Rudy's Old Coach?
No automatic recall. I was actually researching how to swap out the lexan HWH panel and I noticed in Grant L's pics of his work that he had a similar switch (most likely unrelated to the HWH.)
I have one of those switches as well. Many years back when I had my coach at FOT for service, I asked what the switch did. After inquiring, a person that had been working there long enough had the answer. He did not hesitate and said it was for programming the security system. He also said that if it was hooked up, it had the potential to disable the ignition. I had already check the installed security system and saw the the wires had been cut and totally disconnected. That was ten years ago.
I have had no issues with that switch.
I have the same switch in my coach in the same spot
Anybody ever switch it to see what happens?
Well......... it's not OEM but I have one like it too, it switches the aftermarket temperature monitor from the outside probe reading to the interior probe.
see photo with red arrow......
I've had two people tell me that the switch has something to do with the security system. I will now search through any documentation the previous owner left regarding security systems before I go anywhere near that switch. Will report back.
It engages the Flux Capacitor Where you are going, you wont need any roads.
I have the same switch with two wires coming from it and I think it went to a very small light on the left side of the coach under the passenger mirror but the light does not work now. I think it was a small LED light that would flash on and off so people would think you had a security system right at the corner in front of the door
Outside
I've got that light outside too. Never seen it come on, but what you say makes sense.
It IS an old security system. It is obsolete, today.
