Title: Identify this plug
Post by: Peter on July 06, 2021, 09:10:49 pm
Under the coach today and discovered this plug that I had never seen before under the coach, beside the generator. It is a 50 amp plug. Is this so I can run the generator and plug someone else's coach into 50 amp while I am on shore power?  Help with this would be appreciated!

That is so you can use the generator to power any auxiliary component. House, another coach etc. Not sure about while on shore power though.

With the generator running with a volt meter see what voltage is between the 2
outside slots and then from the outside slots to the bottom slot one at a time
and then you will know what you have.

Recent previous discussion about a similar setup.  Very nice accessory, IMO.

50A outlet in the generator compartment? (https://www.foreforums.com/index.php?topic=41751)

The generator has priority over shore power supply meaning if the generator is putting out power the transfer switch disconnects from shore power and closes to have the generator supplying power in the coach.

Mine got wired with shore priority makes it nice when I plug in and don't have the lag of the generator shutting down and making satellite reboot.
