Title: interior re-mod stuff for sale, trade, and give away
Post by: Falconguy on July 17, 2021, 06:10:19 pm
We will be "de-brassing" the interior of our coach in early August. Everything brass is coming out as well as pilot and co pilot seats SOLD. If you need or want anything give me a call or PM and lets make a deal. Everything is in good shape for its age, we are just tired of it. Seats were re foamed a couple of years ago. Work is being done at MOT.

May I ask what year model is your coach,  if possible can I get a few pics, I have a 2001 U320, I may be quite interested. Pitculary the sofa, seats, lamp shades, may be some the puck lights.
Thanks Rick.

Since this was an ad that apparently got moved out of Classifieds, Falconguy - please remind me to delete the topic when it's no longer relevant (after you no longer have the items)

Please post pics of what you replace the lamps with. That's on my to-do list if I ever get my coach back

Are you replacing all of the spring loaded gold tone push button locks on the hall closets and Bath closet....the part I am referring to is the actual plastic button and trim bezel, not the inside lock....ours just about all of the brass plating is rubbed off, I have contemplated just painting them, but the significant other wants to keep the look....dunno MOT might would have them new, but if your tossing and they are not like ours quite worn looking?

Thanks, Mike

I was going to say the same thing as Elliott...please make an update thread.  I've slowly been removing the brass stuff from our coach as well, and would love to see what you choose.

If you are replacing push button latches you need to find ones with the offset latch part.  They are not symmetric.

This is one example of a replacement latch.
Magic&shell Push Button Catch Lock Drawer Cabinet Cupboard Door Keyless... (https://www.amazon.com/Magic-shell-Cabinet-Cupboard-Keyless/dp/B089D8GGRS/ref=sr_1_50?dchild=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw9O6HBhCrARIsADx5qCSWbfHtPhqq-CKHqqmb-oe774Pe9ENOkjBlaV1QCorcqvTSOYaHQ8UaAiqIEALw_wcB&hvadid=177782238219&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=1016367&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=b&hvrand=6702501153932648880&hvtargid=kwd-12943621&hydadcr=7551_9884100&keywords=push+button+lock&qid=1627129187&sr=8-50)

There are lots out there of widely varying quality.  My own experience has the tabs one the cheap ones fail whenre the screws go through.

These are all designed to fit doors up to 1.8 cm or 0.71" thick doors.  FT doors are more than 1" thick. The OEM latches have an extension on the button stud that can be removed and used on a new latch.  The holes on the new latch may not line up well with those from the OEM latch. The button needs to be as close to the center of the hole in the door as possible or binding will occur.

Finally got the coach back from de-brass. Here are some pics of what was removed and what was installed. All work was done at MOT. Contact Keith Davis for more information. ALL the old fixtures were given to a fellow Foretravel owner. More pics in the next post.

Love the updates!  Looks great!

What did they replace the table lamp with?  I see the old brass one with the twisted posts (same one I have), in the pictures.

I also wonder if these new fixtures are a direct bolt in replacement that I could just buy from MOT or find online.  Did they happen to give you any part numbers?

I'll try to make a list and post it

Nice! Are those Brad and Hall's Sawyer Slim Captain Chairs?  Whether they are or not they sure look nice, how do you like them? Did you try them for fit before committing to purchase? Thanks
