I don't often run the AC's off the generator, but when I do, I've been getting this fault. The fault shuts down the inverter of course but while the generator is running everything continues to work as far as I can tell. The fault is easily cleared, sometimes it comes back quickly, sometimes it doesn't. When hooked up to shore power, I can run all three ACs and do not get any faults. Thoughts?
Not an Expert, but I would think:
As soon as you start your generator, your "Inverter ON" light should go off, and the "AC In/Charge" light should illuminate. This is handled by the ATS inside the Xantrex.
What light comes on when you clear the fault light?
Correct. AC in/Charge light comes on. Proper voltage shows on both lines on the power line monitor. Fault does not occur immediately. When fault is cleared, with gen running, light goes back to AC in/Charge then may or may not fault again in a few minutes/hours.
Above my pay grade. Best wait for the Experts to respond. 8)
A quick Google points to a possible internal transfer switch issue in the inverter

Thanks....I think. They all seem to indicate that it's time to replace the Xantrex.
