Real nice folks, just not impressed with the quality of the work done on my coach.

Now to be fair I didn't find the issues until after we left, and did not give then the opportunity to correct it. If I ever visit them again I will never just leave the coach with them, I will stay with it to make sure repairs are done properly.

After a couple of conversations with MOT, we drove there to look at, and hopefully leave with, a consignment coach.  It turned out to be a mess.  I wish I had known.  But I realize that at that point, MOT was working for the coach owner, and not for me.  Frustrating, but I also respect the loyalty and discipline shown by the sales guy.

We bought elsewhere.  MOT sent an email asking if we had found a coach, and I told them we had bought a coach that they had sold before.

Maybe I am silly, but I thought that would lead to a brief conversation - Which one?  How is it?  Do you like it?  Etc.

Nothing.  In the whole series of interactions, nobody really said that they do work on RVs, aside from coaches on the lot.

I know people who have been pleased with the service from MOT, but my experience and the stories leave me indifferent at best.  So far, that $1000 of fuel to get there and back is a strong deterrent.  I am so glad that, aside from some local body repair, I have been able to do all of our repairs myself.

We recently got ours there, was a very pleasant overall pre-buy and buying experience. I cannot speak for the quality of workmanship in the tech/repair department other than to say I do know the previous owner had work done there. Some of that work part of what I am doing got me near some of it, and I am not too impressed. For ex, Ive been an electronics, electrical, automations person for over 40 years....and scotchlocks are for emergency get buy at best. They have a bad knack to oxidize/corrode in just about any application. I have found them all over, as related to supposed work the PO paid MOT to do. Another was a recent found issue, PO had MOT install a blue ox Steering stabilizer, where a push button was mounted into the dash next to the GEN control section. Drilling this hole killed the luminescent dash. For a supposed MOT nice beauty feature, odd that an MOT tech would have done that. I found it due to crackiling and smoking coming from that area after I was in the same area cleaning up about a dozen scotchlok conditions.

pre sale inspection visit, phone contact, questions/discussions/ etc... and final Sales expereince was great, using a fellow named Jeff Bowser. Yes consignment, but was able to negotiate pricing due to a few finds, and overall price was fair considering the times of RV sales in general. Have alwasy been a DIY with all Own, and will do so with this. But in light of what Ive seen lack of quality service work in just the electrical arena, I doubt I would ever take mine back to MOT for anything.

Been to them twice for service. Both great experiences.

I used MOT to fix my brakes on the 1997 U295. After I had made 3 different trips to repair places in Houston that ended not being able to repair my brakes correctly.  After the second attempt with the second repair place that worked on the brakes and then being told I needed all new calibers, I left them and headed to Naco & MOT    MOT had me in and out in less then 1/2 day with no new calibers.  They found the problems, corrected them and I was on my way.  I was a great experience after dealing with the places in Houston.

When the AC stopped working I did not trust anyone in Houston and headed to MOT.  The found the leak, repaired, installed new dryer and recharged the system.  I did not have any problems with the repair.

As a side note, David walked through the waiting room while I was there.  He first walked past me and then backed up and said "How are you doing Jack?  He then asked how my wife was doing by her name.  He also asked how was one of my friends were doing by their name.  David had sold us our coaches back when he was working for FOT before he started MOT.

Bought our coach at MOT in 2016. Painless transaction.
They fixed a few things before we left the lot and charged the cost back to the owner.
Have had the rear bulkhead rebuilt by them along with front axle brake job and a couple of HWH issues. No come backs or repeat issues.
On the way to a rally had an issue with the rear six pack that caused the left rear drop down on the tires. Lots of smoke and minor panic. This was a Saturday so I called the MOT hotline. Whoever answered said he would call back soon. A few minutes later Keith R called back and asked me if I could make it to the shop. I told him I thought I could. (Remember, this was a Saturday and the shop is closed!) Keith met me there and he and another tech worked on our coach for a couple of hours and got us back on the road. He said someone would send me a bill eventually.
I have dealt with Eric, James and Keith on many occasions and have nothing but positive things to say about all of them. Have attended the Thanksgiving feast that David puts on every year and ate enough to recoup some of my expenses.
Would not hesitate to return to MOT for any kind of service work but as with any vendor I deal with I am very selective about who does the actual work.

1st time at MOT for us was to look at a coach.
The salesman was Ben, who was new, so he didn't have all the answers for us but was polite and accommodating.
The pics that were used in the advertising were old so when we actually saw it there were many issues that had to be dealt with about $30K worth of work.
We finally made an offer and the manager would not even come to the office to speak with us.

We have been back twice for service and have been happy with the results.

We found this to be the case too. Valuable information to note for both good and bad reasons.
1) It might be a lot better than pictures indicate. If your salesman suggests "you need to come see this coach", I suggest listening to them. I trusted Jeff in this regard and it was a good decision. There were many other Unicoaches on the lot but ours was cut from a different cloth. You could tell it was well cared for but that didn't show in pictures. There had also been updates done to the coach during it's time with MOT that weren't shown in the pictures taken early on.
2) If, when you're viewing the coach in person, you notice the engine is freshly painted and airbags/tires are nice and shined up, there is cause for suspicion  ;)  MOT does a pretty good job of "cleaning" them up when needed and the original pictures can clue you in to things that may no longer be visible.

By and large, I was happy with our MOT experience; both buying and having service done before we left with the rig. I left feeling like both departments take care of their customers but there is no doubt we paid well for both the coach and the service.

Anything with a 'C' in front of the stock # is consignment. Unless the owner has stuff repaired, it's going to need a PDI (pre delivery inspection). Repairs will then need to be negotiated from asking price.

All you are doing, is buying someone's used coach, through second party, that is making money off you.

Unlike Foretravel did as a company, all coaches were brought in, PDI'd,then fully serviced, and all repairs done.
