Title: Lithium Batteries Install
Post by: JimO on August 11, 2021, 01:46:27 pm
Can anyone recommend an installer that is located in the Southwest? We are in Reno and can't find anyone local.

Thanks

I can highly recommend Gilles who does professional solar installs. He's usually in Q in the winter and Lake Powell in the summer. His handle here on the forum is OffTheGridRVs or sales@offthegridrvs.com. He's done two full installs for me now, both flawless.

Last fall he put in two Lithionics GTX315s as part of a bigger job on my U320.

You might give Northern Arizona Wind and Sun a call: Northern Arizona Wind & Sun | Off Grid & Grid-Tied Solar Power Systems (https://www.solar-electric.com/) I purchased our Midnight 150 controller and several other items from them back in 2008. They offered a discount and since they were out of state, no CA sales tax. They are one of the largest suppliers in the U.S. and may be able to do the installation. Also had a lot of tips for the installation of our panels, wiring, etc.

They are located in Flagstaff, AZ.

Although they did not install (we're in Florida), I heartily recommend N Arizona Wind and Sun.  They designed and supplied all our Victron gear and Battleborn batteries.  We dealt with Adam Douglass, solar applications engineer, for design and pricing. His number is 928-526-8017 x 108.

Thanks Randy. Just today I did find a Local RV dealer (Safari Stores in Reno), that has worked with Battle Born before so I think I'm good to go.

You can buy the battleborns direct from Battleborn. They also sell all the Victron equipment and have great tech support. Just don't do installs.

Thank you Elliott...

Just an FYI on battle born and their UL 2054 attached, its worth reading. Lithionics UL is 1973, which is also a start/deep cycle battery with built in heaters and Bluetooth.

Here's a link to it also if you can't download it.
