Title: Headlight Switch 1990 Grand Villa??
Post by: steve31 on August 28, 2021, 11:20:17 pm
Headlight switch is shot on my 1990 GV. I think it might be a Ford product. Any thoughts?

Thanks  Steve

GM pickup truck, bought 2 Chinese switches that failed after a dozen uses, ended up buying an ac Delco switch irc about $60. Salvage switch might be better

I don't drive at night, but my switch probably needs to be replaced, too. Good project for a fall day. I plan to take lots of pictures as I take it out so I know how to put it back together. Then I'll take the old one to the parts store and see what they can come up with.

After I do that I'll do the wiper switch.

Many states require that the headlights be on when the windshield wipers are on. I never plan to drive in the dark now that I am retired but s*** happens. Used to when working have to drive the coach after dark many times to get to and from our destination and be back to work on Monday.

Andy and Twig are correct. GM D1588. $26 bucks Amazon. Going to have to bring auxiliary freezer to Quartzite to haul all the ice cream I owe folks!
Thanks to all. As usual the Forum comes thru!
