Title: Wind noise on the driver's side
Post by: Alexander Kalesnikoff on August 30, 2021, 10:10:44 pm
Fellow Rver's,
Maybe someone can help me.  I have a '97 U295.  Down the highway, I have wind noise, sometimes quite loud on the driver's side.
Why is that happening.  I changed the position of the mirror, but that does not help.  I taped around the windshield, around the front side windows, that did not help.  Is it the wind through the awning, and if it is, how to fix that problem.
Any ideas why the wind noise or how to fix the problem.
Thanks,
Alexander

Alexander, check the mirror mount behind the dash or even on the outside, it may be loose. That was the cause of the noise on my 03.

Cut a piece of water pipe insulation the length of the forward arm of the window awning and slip it over the arm.. No more wind noise.

I basically did the same thing as Dub on the passenger side.  Made a big difference.  Made a more permanent one covered with marine naughahyde and velcro for attachment.

Alexander, I had a wind noise like you described, and tried everything you described. It ended up being the window, had to remove it and reseal it to the coach. Try using masking tape around the driver's side window and the side of the coach especially the top and front side. Blue painters tape works well.

I tried what Dub and Rich did and it didn't seem to help as much for me. Probably needs to fit tighter.  Try tape first before pulling the window.

Wind direction make a difference, can't control that.

Check the window behind the drivers seat. Make sure you close it hard.
