When parked someplace with shore power, if the 110V heater element is turned on and furnace heat (or basement heat) is called for, will the AH always fire the burner or will it supply heat from the AH tank using the AC element until the coolant temp drops to where the burner would normally fire?
If the AH switch is off, will it fire the burner anyway or only if this switch is on?
My understanding is that the AH only fires up the diesel burner when needed. If water is already up to temp from the 115v electric element or from being heated from circulating through the engine while started.
But that does assume the "Diesel" switch is turned on, right? So if the "Diesel" switch is off, and the 110V is on, it will only use electricity to heat the AH tank. The basement and furnace settings then turn on when they need to, based on their settings, and if the 110V element isn't enough to keep up, then it will just take longer or maybe never reach the desired temp, correct?

The interior thermostats and the basement thermostat call for heat as needed. The hot coolant is pumped to the zone requesting heat.
The coolant is heated by two heat sources, electric element and diesel burner. Coolant is heated by what ever heat source(s) is turned on. If only the elecric element is turned on, the available heat will warm the interior down to about 50 maybe 45 degrees ambient. Below that outside temp, add the diesel burner to the electric element. You will need the diesel burner for a long shower year round especially in the cooler times of the year.

Thanks Rudy...it's finally dropped under 100 here and I wanted to make sure I knew how to use it and what settings/burners are capable of what. For instance, parked at the house when it gets in the 30's here, I'm guessing I'll likely have to turn the burner switch on for the basement heater to be able to keep the temps from dipping too low, even though the coach is plugged in and can have the electric element on at all times.
Keith, If you are not in the coach, the electric element will keep the coolant above freezing down into the single digits. This keeps the fresh water loop fluid. But interior temps if using electric only to heat will not be comfortable to you.
We are in west Texas. Temps in am dropped to 45. I just used the electric element and the system took the chill off. As Rudy suggested when he was at our place, I fire up the diesel part and that works great, no smoke.
