I cant find the style that I installed in 2017 . These are strips that slide into a alloy strip that glues into the light fixture. Anyone have a good source for the rigid style?
Thanks,MM
Mike I buy all my lighting products from m4. I believe you get a superior product but you will pay more. You're buying a product that's made in the US and you know what that means better quality more money. I also bought the strips that people were touting to put in my fluorescent light fixtures and I don't like them. The light they put out is good and the correct color temperature I think but there's a lot of heat from them. Over time I'll probably replace them with the m4 lights.

I used these and looks like there in stock.
Mike, try Super Bright LEDS, they have lots to choose from.
I found Super Bright rigid LED strips at our local Camping World.
I think I asked many years ago which was best, bright or soft white and either Michelle or Carol recommended the soft white. Goes well with the wood interior.

I have had very good and consistent results with this brand

The 2835 elements are not as bright, use less power.
The 5050 elements are brighter and use more power.
You can get them is 300 elements in a 5M strip or 150 elements in a 5M strip.
You can get 10M spools
3000° K is a more comfortable, incandescent color
6000° K is a much whiter/bluer light.
In general unless you need waterproof get none waterproof, they operate cooler and more reliably.

You can find them to fit in a corner as well.
Use this to stick the LED strip lighting into the channel or to the interior of a light fixture. Sticky backing on most LED strips isn't worth much.

I have used these and they work great, come with plugs on the wires, can be cut to the length, and both ends have wires so if you cut it the cut end can be used too. Available in soft 3000k or bright white 6000k color.

I purchased these on Amazon a couple of years ago and all are still working! However, they are bright and would change to soft white in the future.
Great for reading though! Also got some on the reel like Roger showed.

Has anyone used any of these solder strip led types for the recessed ceiling areas in the main coach area? Mine are still the standard but are very dim pleasing to use for late night TV watching when you want just enough light to move around. I do want to convert them. I have used the solder strips before for many applications, but they are incredbily bright, I dont want to replace those in the recess and then create a stadium lighting effect. I guess if it is too bright, could work with resistors to dim them down to the level we like. Curious what others have done for the upgrades in the recessed ceiling pockets.
I did mine last winter with strips. It pretty much uses an entire strip for each one. The trim is just velcroed up so with some care it will pull down.
I used 3000° K 2835 strips. This is a good place for the wider spaced 150 elements per 5M strip. The old lights are in a vinyl tube stapled in place. Pull all the put and mount the LED strip as close to the bottom edge as you can. Use the existing wires

Make it easy to connect the wires.
I used these for dimmers and remote control.

Any strips you use will be too bright so plan on some type of dimmer.
Great explanation, thank you Roger. Yep, figured they would need to be dimmed to get similar to the old intensity of light.
Mike, each ceiling panel has its own switch near the front door. You can add a dimmer switch there if you want or there is plenty of room for the wifi-connected switch/dimmer where the wires come out of the ceiling. Too much light is not a bad thing if you have a dimmer. Ours are on at night at about 5% brightness. To be useful during the day, maybe 100%.
Yes, sort of what I thought about doing. some of my bullbs in each recess are still functioning, but hoping to do this upgrade in the near future. appreciate the links.!
I took a couple pictures of the front LR ceiling recess with LEDs at about 10% while the coach is in the dark.
Very nice....thanks!
