Title: Gurgling sound AC issue
Post by: JB on October 14, 2021, 04:11:38 pm
Sounds weird to newbie me, hope experience holds the key to discovery.
My front AC unit had stopped running yesterday. Fan will work, but when on auto, compressor not kicking in.
Phone consult with mobile tech had me resetting Dometic thermostat.
In course of doing that, I'd swear I could hear some kind of gurgling sound first on roof directly overhead and then from wall behind thermostat.
Doesn't make sense to me and hoped someone out there might have an idea...
As always, huge appreciation to y'all and thank you,
John

John, I started writing to you and got interrupted. Since no one else has responded I'll give you my thoughts.

First, it might be that your front AC unit froze up. That happens when you have high humidity and low airflow. If it is working properly now, that might have been the problem. Turning it off and waiting a day costs nothing and solves the problem.

Do you know where the drain for your AC goes? It might be that the gurgling you heard was water running down the drain. You may need to check with Foretravel if someone else doesn't chime in.

Has anyone ever replaced a ceiling before , we have a 1990 foretravel unihome that we are remodeling just wondering if we can paint it after the material comes down or if we need to put something like shiplap up
