Title: Motorcade numbers
Post by: Bigoil76 on October 19, 2021, 03:37:33 pm
Just got our membership numbers,#18766, and was wondering if anyone knows if FOT or maybe Xtreme will put these on if I don't have the means to do so? I'm headed there in a couple weeks . Kind of lame I know but I don't have a ladder that will reach that high up and I'm not the steadiest person if I did.

I'm willing to bet either shop could come up with somebody to apply the numbers.  Xtreme would be my first choice simply because they are fiberglass restoration experts and fastidious technicians.  But they are likely pretty busy with high-dollar paint and body work.  My second choice would be Nacogdoches Motorhome Service because Bruce, David and Seth are really excellent folks and would try their best to fit you in on short notice.  MOT and FOT would be last on my list for such a small job, but wouldn't hurt to ask.

Have you asked Foretravel Service Department?

They might do it on a  "complementary" basis.

Certainly worth a phone call.

Be sure to tell them that you are the new owner of a 2008 Foretravel.

I will ask FOT if they can do it while they have my coach back there. I'm thinking they probably will, just thought I'd ask Forum first and see what people thought. I'll be spending quite a bit of money at their facility ..😂👍

In that case it's a no-brainer.  Have FOT add it to the work order.  If you hang around town while they work on your coach, it never hurts to show up with a box of Shipley Donuts for the service techs.  Helps grease the wheels of progress.

Thanks for the donuts tip... I understand the power of the donut... can't wait to get this MH serviced and functional and start participating.

At one time FOT would put the numbers on at no charge no matter what else you had done (if anything) or where you purchased your coach. They put ours on quite a few years ago, and we haven't traded coaches, so they are still there.

They put ours on last time we were there, there was a small fee as I recall.
Kept me off a ladder, worth the money.

A few years ago FOT owned the Motorcade Club. Not anymore. It is a separate entity that receives some support from FOT. The 10% parts and service discount still remains and they provide some office space and clerical support but that's all AFAIK.
