Well, after many diversions, I finally finished my air throttle project. I replaced the King throttle control function with an air unit but retained the King cruise control function. The cruise works fine but I ran six 14 gauge wires front to back in anticipation of me or the next guy installing a Rostra cruise unit later on.
I just took it out for a test drive and all is well. The new TPS is communicating with the Allison and it is shifting well. The only difference I noticed is that it shifts into 6th three or four mph higher.
I'm writing up a how-to on this which will include parts and pricing for those of you living in fear (as I was) of the inevitable King failure.

Yay! This will be good news for many. I am interested just because it is interesting.
A good and recommended upgrade if your King Control throttle fails-- air throttle and King Control cruise.
Thanks in advance for listing how and parts.
Know it's something I'll be doing.
