Title: Commode supply line and spray piping
Post by: mkc1962 on November 04, 2021, 08:22:05 pm
Thinking this things brand is dometic, cant seem to find it anywhere, has the label traveler on it, and I do see that Dometic sells a Traveler commode. It is heavy porcelain, not the cheaper plastic ones I have seen in the past.. It works fine but I just today while fixing a o-ring leak on the spray head noticed it is also leaking where the spray wand gets it supply under and behind, some sort of mixing valve that gets its source from the foot pedal I would assume as I can only feel not see it.

Is there some sort of kit that replaces all the hoses, that joint area Etc? After 20 years of age probably just one of those age related things.

Maybe something like this.
Dometic Hand Spray Kit | Camping World (https://www.campingworld.com/dometic-hand-spray-kit-26779.html#q=dometic%2Btoilet%2Bhoses&lang=default&start=10&cgid=maintain-your-rv%2Fsewer%2Ftoilets%2Ftoilet-accessories)

about and hour after this post....Started to take it apart.....its a dometic 510plus

Mike, think you may find relevant info on this topic: Sealand/Dometic 511 toilet question (http://www.foreforums.com/index.php?topic=43301.msg435681#msg435681)

The part that is leaking sounds like the backflow preventer which can let water flow out the top on to the floor. Most of the time there is not a lot of space to pull out the old & push in the new without removing bowl from base.

Sealand made a change at one point a while ago which changed the backflow preventer part number and part design. So it may be important to know if you have old or newer style porcelain bowl.

Barry,

Thanks for some input.
I agree, it appears you have to pull the bowel to deal with the problem, and yes does based on feel appear to be coming from the top of the BFP area.

I found this resource last night, and actually  just got off  of the phone with these folks.
Quality Marine Products | Marine Toilets & Parts | Environmental Marine (https://environmentalmarine.com/)
ordering all of the parts to rebuild the water flow path as well as new bowl gaskets.
