Title: Information on 2008 Nimbus Build 6441
Post by: rusczyk56 on November 13, 2021, 07:19:58 pm
I am seeking any info I can find on the coach noted in the subject line.  It's titled as a 2008 Nimbus but the chassis build was Feb 2007 and the coach sale was July 2007.  While legally it appears to be a 2008, it has what appears to be a 2007 rear cap (lift up engine compartment door as opposed to split doors) as well as a couple other oddities.  It's noted on the build plate as a 338 Special.

I have read some of the horror stories about early Nimbus/post FT sale coaches and specifically concerned with the delamination issue and any other "hot button" problems.

Any insight would be appreciated and thanks in advance for helping a potential new FT owner.  Please PM with coach specific information...or post with general information.

Thanks,

Bob in FLA

We also have a 2008 CE338 Nimbus.... New to us. Ours is a custom build also and is mid coach entry. I has a southwest interior going on. We are currently on our way from home, Phoenix area, to FOT to get some work done and have a complete coach go thru. Our engine doors  are split. Just had oasis heating system serviced by Rudy on our way to factory. Taking there specially for a slide repair that it had when I bought it a couple months ago. Also the large Girard patio awning will not nest back into place pike it should. We are going by Extreme Body in Nacogdoches while there to have the look at our coach for slight delamination issue and roof inspection and sealing inspection. We love our Foretravel and are enjoying our trip so far. Things will always be needing attention in these coaches and we know that, but with the build quality as compared to what is out there available today, it is well worth the time, money and effort...the Foretravel community is second to none and we are  looking forward to many more years of travel and enjoyment... P.S. nice to have another Nimbus show up...enjoy
