Title: Water leaking from shower
Post by: brianefeeze on December 05, 2021, 05:41:25 pm
Last outing I spotted water steadily dripping in the top center of the rear wheels while my wife was in the shower, passenger side. I ran the shower head in the bathroom sink no sign of water. Then I ran it in the shower and with in a few minutes a drop of water appeared. I am guessing I have a leak under the shower at the drain or pipe. I am wondering how you access under the shower to see what is going on.

On the ones I've seen access is through a return vent or from a panel in a bedroom cabinet. If you find that your drain pipe is leaking, there is a fix which avoids removal of the p-trap. Here's my post from a few years back.

Had the same problem with water leaking out around the rear tires when we used the shower.  Spent about $400 to have FOT investigate the problem.  They checked all the easy stuff and even removed the cover to the P-trap underneath the shower pan.  There is an access above the drive wheel.  P-trap was ok.  Only thing left was the shower stall.  Got instructions from David Flannigan on how to disassemble the shower stall.  Very carefully took apart the shower stall and found the screws that attached to shower stall bottom railing to the shower pan had become inlarged.  Repaired the holes and put the shower stall back together and no more leak.  Don't scrimp on the caulk.

David,

This is all super helpful information. Thank you! Wondering if I cut and opening the the material or there are screws with some type of flap that opens? If it is not the drain (kind of hoping) would be great to get more details about taking the shower apart and how you made your repair. Any help or pictures would be greatly appreciated!
